Here we guide you through the process of accessing IllumiDesk as a student update assignment files and submit them directly from the Jupyter Notebook interface.
Requirements: credentials for the demoteacher and demostudent accounts are sent to you via email. You may request your own credentials by filling out this form.

Log in with the demostudent user

As the Student user, open the *.ipynb file assigned in DemoLab or your custom Assignment. Once clicked, the file will create a new dedicated Jupyter Notebook instance for the student.

The Student profile has access to the "Submit Assignment" button which is the left-most icon on the toolbar. Once the Student has edited their file, they can then click on Save and submit it directly to Canvas with the Submit Assignment button

With this process the Teacher / Student collaboration has helped to eliminate friction by:

Allowing the student to create their own dedicated Jupyter Notebook server just by clicking on the assignment file within the course's Assignment section

Securely submit assignments directly to the Learning Management System directly from the Jupyter Notebook interface
What's Next?
Now that the demostudent user has submitted their assignment, user's with the Teacher and Teacher Assistant roles can now grade assignments directly from the LMS.
